FC Bayern München and VfL Wolfsburg have agreed the terms
of an immediate transfer for Dante Bonfim Costa Santos (31). The
centre-back requested to be released from his contract with FC Bayern,
and the club has granted the request. FC Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz
Rummenigge commented: “Dante simply wanted the chance to play regularly.
We did not want to deny him this opportunity.”
Dante will complete the obligatory pre-transfer medical in Wolfsburg and will then sign a three-year contract with the DFB Cup holders. The player moves for an undisclosed fee. “We would like to thank Dante,” Rummenigge continued. “FC Bayern enjoyed great success in his time at the club, with many wonderful moments and trophies. We’ve also come to know and value Dante as a very agreeable and likeable person. We wish him all the best for the future.”
