After his wining and while celebrating, Usain Bolt jogged through the line beating his clenched fists against his chest as he defeated twice drugs cheat Justin Gatlin for the second time in a week before being taken out by a cameraman who lost control of his Segway .

After beating American Gatlin in the 100m on Sunday, the Jamaican breezed to 200m victory in 19.55sec; the fastest time in the world this year and his quickest since winning gold at London 2012. But there was drama on the lap of honour afterwards with two security scares. He seemingly avoided serious injury after being run over by a cameraman riding a Segway and the Jamaican took a painful-looking tumble by landing on his head In a jovial press conference beneath the Bird’s Nest, Bolt joked the cameraman who crashed into him may have been paid by ex-doper Gatlin, beaten into the silver medal position for a second time in one week.

A barefoot Bolt was facing the stands saluting fans when the TV cameraman lost control of the motorised board he was riding and hit the sprinter from behind.

Bolt fell backwards on to the cameraman but escaped serious injury. ‘I don’t have my legs insured but I might think about it after that,’ he said. ‘He took the worst of it so I checked he was OK and he said sorry as much as he could. He may have hit his head. I have a few cuts but I’m fine.
