NBA DAILY WRAP: All-Star Game starters James and Leonard shine on announcement night



LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard, who were announced as starters in this year’s All-Star Game, led their teams to impressive victories in an exciting five-game night in the NBA.
Cavs dim Suns
LeBron James showcased why he is a 13-time All-Star and helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 118-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns. He finished with a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double, Kyrie Irving had 26 points and four rebounds, and Channing Frye had an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Tyson Chandler led the Suns with a 22-point, 16-rebound double-double, Eric Bledsoe had 22 points, six rebounds and nine assists, while Devin Booker ended the game with 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.

Spurs bury Nuggets
The San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 118-104 on the back of Kawhi Leonard’s 34 points, five rebounds and four assists, Dejounte Murray had 24 points, Manu Ginobili had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, while David Lee finished with a 10-point, 16-rebound double-double.
The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic who had a double-double with 35 points and 12 rebounds, Will Barton had 18 points and seven assists, while Congolese guard Emmanuel Mudiay ended the night with 12 points, two assists and two steals.
Heat scorch Mavs
The Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks 99-95. Goran Dragic had 32 points and six rebounds, Tyler Johnson had 23 points, and Hassan Whiteside finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 19 points and four rebounds, Wesley Matthews had 18 points and five rebounds, and Harrison Barnes ended the game with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Wizards stun Knicks
The Washington Wizards beat the Knicks 113-110 in New York. John Wall had a 29-point, 13-rebound double-double, Otto Porter Jr had 23 points and six rebounds, Markieff Morris had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Marcin Gortat finished with a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double.
The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony who had a double-double with 34 points and 10-rebounds, Derrick Rose had 20 points and five rebounds, and Kristaps Porzingis had 15 points and five rebounds.

Timberwolves bite Clippers
The Minnesota Timberwolves took advantage of a Chris Paul-less LA Clippers and beat them 104-101. Karl-Anthony Towns had a 37-point, 12-rebound double-double, Andrew Wiggins had 27 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
DeAndre Jordan led the charge for the Clippers with a 29-point, 16-rebound double-double, Austin Rivers had 20 points, Raymond Felton had 10 points, four rebounds and eight assists, while Cameroonian forward Luc Mbah a Moute ended the game with 10 points.
