DeAndre Jordan was the star of the show for the LA Clippers on Saturday, shooting 12 of 13 for 24 points as LA cruised past the Lakers 113-97 to improve to 6-0 in the new year.
The Clippers shot 52 percent and had a season high 56 points in the paint.
Chris Paul netted 20 points and 13 assists, while Jordan bagged 21 rebounds.
Chicago ended a three-game losing streak thanks to a big fourth quarter from Dwayne Wade, who went 7-for-10 in the last 12 minutes to help the Bulls to a 107-99 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Jimmy Butler added 28 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Chicago.
Down in Mexico, Devin Booker scored a career-high 39 points as the Phoenix Suns downed the San Antonio Spurs 108-105.
Kawhi Leonard scored 38 points for the Spurs, who have now lost two of their last three.
Washington’s John Wall scored a team-high 25 points and Bradley Beal 20 as the Wizards rallied from a 13-point first-half deficit to smash the 76ers 109-93.
In Salt Lake City, Gordon Hayward scored 23 points to help Utah beat Orlando Magic 114-107, a victory marred by what looked like a serious knee injury to Rodney Hood.
Rudy Gobert added 19 points and 19 rebounds for Utah, while Elfrid Payton scored a career-high 28 points for Orlando.
