Spurs handle Thunder
San Antonio Spurs defeated Oklahoma City Thunder 108-94 on the back of Kawhi Leonard’s 36 points, eight rebounds and four assists – the second-highest haul of his career. Meanwhile, LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and six rebounds, while Patty Mills and Manu Ginobili combined for 16 with eight points apiece.
OKC was led by Russell Westbrook with a 27-point, 14-assist double-double, Steven Adams had a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double and Nigerian-American guard Victor Oladipo finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Rockets strike Kings
Ryan Anderson’s 25-point, 11-rebound double-double helped the Houston Rockets beat the Sacramento Kings 105-83. Eric Gordon had 17 points and five rebounds, and Clint Capela ended the game with a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.
DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Kosta Koufos had 12 points and four rebounds, while Willie Cauley-Stein and Anthony Tolliver combined for 20 with 10 points apiece.
Wizards stun Knicks
Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal picked up 28 points and four assists, and shot 66.7 percent from the field in his team’s 117-101 win over the visiting New York Knicks. Markieff Morris had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Marcin Gortat had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double and John Wall also bagged a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists.
The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony with 26 points and five rebounds, Brandon Jennings had 21 points, five rebounds and four steals, and Willy Hernangomez ended the game with a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Raptors gnash Pelicans
The Toronto Raptors pulled off a great win in overtime and beat the New Orleans Pelicans 108-106. Kyle Lowry had a career-best 33-point, 10 rebound double-double, Jonas Valanciumas had a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double, and Norman Powell had 18 points and four rebounds.
Jrue Holiday had 30 points for the Pelicans, Anthony Davis had an 18-point, 17-rebound double-double, and E’Twaun Moore had 17 points and six rebounds.
Blazers singe Hornets
The Portland Trail Blazers beat the Charlotte Hornets 115-98. Damian Lillard picked up 27 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Allen Crabbe had 21 points and five rebounds and CJ McCollum finished with 18 points and four assists.
Buzz City were led by Kemba Walker with 22 points and five assists, Cameroonian-French guard Nicolas Batum had 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Marvin Williams finished with 10 points and five rebounds.
Lakers bury Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 120-116 on the back of D’Angelo Russell’s 22-point, 10-assist double-double. Nick Young scored 23 points while Lou Williams notched up 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists, and South Sudanese forward Luol Deng had seven points and four rebounds.
Wilson Chandler had 26 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Nuggets, while Garry Harris and Danilo Gallinari combined for 34 with 17 points apiece and Kenneth Faried finished with a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds.
