NBA Daily Wrap: Westbrook records seventh triple-double of the season


Sunday was a night of thrillers in the NBA with 10 teams taking to the hardwood and wins coming for the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder, and Russell Westbrook scoring a triple double.
Thunder strike Spurs
A 22-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double from Russell Westbrook helped the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 87-90. Steven Adams had a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double, Carmelo Anthony had nine points and six rebounds, while Paul George finished with eight and eight rebounds.
Dejounte Murray led San Antonio with a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, Davis Bertans had 16 points, four rebounds and five blocks, and Joffrey Lauvergne 12 and six rebounds.

Rockets hit Lakers
The Houston Rockets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 118-95 on the back of James Harden’s 36 points, four rebounds and nine assists, Eric Gordon had 22 points, Chris Paul 21 with four rebounds and six assists, and Congolese/Angolan-Swiss center Clint Capela finished with 13 rebounds and eight points.
Los Angeles were led by rookie Kyle Kuzma with a 22-point, 12-rebound double-double, Brandon Ingram had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Kentavious Coldwell-Pope 16, and Larry Nance Jr had 15 and eight rebounds.
Timberwolves bite Clippers
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat an injury-struck Los Angeles Clippers 112-106. Jimmy Butler had 33 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Taj Gibson a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double, Karl-Anthony Towns also added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng ended the game with six and five rebounds.
Austin Rivers led the Clippers with 30 points, five rebounds and five assists, Lou Williams had a 23-point, 10-assist double-double, DeAndre Jordan also had a double-double with 17 and 12 rebounds, while Montrezl Harrell ended the game with 10 and four rebounds.
Warriors cool Heat
The Golden State Warriors handed the Heat a 123-95 blowout in Miami. Stephen Curry had 30 points, Kevin Durant 23 with seven assists, Klay Thompson 19, five rebounds and four assists, while Omri Casspi finished with 10 and five rebounds.
Miami were led by Goran Dragic with 20 points, Kelly Olynyk 14, seven rebounds and five assists, Tyler Johnson 13, Josh Richardson 12 and Nigerian center Bam Adebayo ended the game with nine.
Magic dazzle Knicks
The Orlando Magic beat the New York Knicks 105-100 on Nikola Vucevic’s 34-point, 12-rebound double-double, Algerian-French forward Evan Fournier had 20 points and four assists, Jonathan Simmons 16 and seven rebounds, and Elfrid Payton 15, six rebounds and five assists.
Michael Beasley led New York with 21 points, Courtney Lee had 19 and five rebounds, Enes Kanter logged an 18-point, 16-rebound double-double, Lance Thomas had 11 points and five rebounds, while Rwandese-French guard Frank Ntilikina finished with nine.
