Manchester United target City starlet Cameron Humphreys

Manchester United are considering a move for Manchester City wonderkid Cameron Humphreys. Scouts from Old Trafford have been left impressed by the centre-back's rapid progression and Louis van Gaal could make a bid to steal him away from the Etihad.

Humphreys made headlines after being given a chance to impress by Manuel Pellegrini against Melbourne City and Real Madrid during pre-season. A report in The Mail claims the Red Devils are joined by both Newcastle United and Everton in their interest but none of them are yet to make an official approach.
At only 16-years-old, the youngster did not look out of place in the Citizens line-up, but Pellegrini later admitted that his first-team breakthrough may have to wait beyond the forthcoming season. But having been voted the player of the season by his teammates in the under-18 squad, Humphreys may think he is ready to move on.
